Rubber Ducky, You're the One.

For months now Greg and I have been battling Gracie at bath time. Baby books talk about "winding down the night" with a warm bath and massage. I mention this because there has been no "winding down" thus far. As soon as Gracie was over colic, she began to hate her bath. We tried everything: singing, splashing, getting in slowly, hotter, colder, bathing with her, bath toys, etc. . . Meanwhile, patiently waiting and watching this ordeal on the windowsill was Gracie's underestimated rubber ducky. The other night, without thinking, I snatched the ducky and plopped it in the water with her, and wallah- happy baby. How cliche. Could this really be the object of her little heart's desire? Could a rubber ducky be the key to my little baby's happy bath existence? Apparently. Well, we will give our little diva what she wants. Rubber ducky, we're awfully fond of you . . . boop boop b-doo.

That is absolutely hilarious Amy! Who knew a little piece of rubber could bring so much peace. Ernie really knew what he was talking about, huh?
